What is Ali Ahn’s ethnicity? The actor’s Korean heritage
Ali Ahn has many acting credits, including roles in Orange is the New Black and Raising Dion. However, none of them have given her as much fame and acclaim as her role as Eidra Graham in Netflix’s The Diplomat. Ahn’s character is a CIA officer stationed in the United Kingdom and an advisor to Kate (Keri Russell).
Ali Ahn is an Asian American born in the United States but hailing from South Korea
Ali Ahn was born on 24th July 1991 in Los Angeles, California. She is Asian American, drawing Asian roots from South Korea.
Ahn grew up alongside two siblings. She wrote on Instagram in February 2020 that she sees her sister Stephanie Ahn as her mother, closest confidante, and child. “I am the luckiest,” Ahn wrote.
Ahn doesn’t post her parents on social media. Her siblings appear occasionally, but there’s no photo of her parents anywhere.
However, in February 2019, she posted a photo of her late South Korean grandmother, Halmoni, and gave us a glimpse of her young life. Ahn wrote that Halmoni used to wear elaborate makeup and a wig while picking up her grandchildren at school on Fridays in her ‘air-freshener perfumed white Camry.’ Ahn wrote:
“Here is a picture of my Halmoni a few years before she passed, when she had given up on the makeup but her skin and wig game were still FLAWLESS. She was too old to be chubby anymore and I was too old to be wearing aviators. Time, guys. Time.”
