At the start of 2023, Brett Eldredge decided to take a hiatus from music to pursue other things in life. “This year, I’m gonna do all the things I’ve always wanted to do but never made the time, things that scare me, chasing moments that make me feel alive and see the wonder in the world,” Brett captioned a video of himself compiling his 2023 bucket list.

Brett Eldredge is not married. He also doesn’t seem to be dating, though some reports claim he may be in a secret relationship. 

A June 2023 Instagram post by Brett suggests he missed out on a lot due to his decade-long commitment to career advancement. He stated that he’d dedicated 2023 to doing ‘things that make me feel grounded and connected to life’. Brett wrote:

“I’ve been touring for a decade and wanted to feel some normalcy for a moment, to experience some of the things I feel I’ve missed out on. not in a bus or in a parking lot behind a venue, but focusing on life with friends, family, dancing, traveling just to travel, relationships, mental health, therapy….”

Now that Brett is focusing more on his private life than music, we might see his relationship status change soon. 

The singer reportedly dated fashion model Rachel Hilbert

Brett and fashion model Rachel Hilbert met on the video shoot set for his single Lose My Mind. Despite being strangers, the couple had instant chemistry. Brett told Taste of Country:

“When you have a kissing scene, and there are some hot and steamy scenes in this video, it’s all about the relationship you have with that person, even if you just met ’em. There’s one part where she shoves me on the desk … and I was literally knocking stuff out of the way and breaking people’s picture frames and stuff. Whatever. It’s part of the job.”

More than a year after the video dropped, Brett and Rachel were spotted on holiday in Miami, Florida, confirming their relationship. It’s unclear when the couple broke up. Fans speculated that she was the subject of Brett’s nostalgic breakup song Gabrielle. Brett talked to The Boot about the song’s message:

“It’s kind of a breakup song. You still kind of look back and wonder, you know, at a certain point in your life, or often, what that person’s up to and where they are now, and what it could have been and what if, you know?”

Brett was later linked with Sadie Robertson after she appeared in his single The Long Way. Robertson praised Brett, calling him hilarious, and stated she had fun during the shoot but dismissed dating rumors. 

“Everybody thinks we are dating,” Robertson told Entertainment Tonight. “We just had so much fun together. Everybody was like, ‘No, you were really laughing.’ We really were. We really did have a great time. But I don’t know, girl, it’s too complicated.”

Brett was linked with singer Kelly Clarkson following their 2020 Christmas duet

After Kelly Clarkson divorced Brandon Blackstock in 2022, rumors surfaced claiming she and Brett were dating. The reports stemmed from Brett and Clarkson’s Under the Mistletoe duet in 2020. 

Brett told HELLO! US that Kelly asked him to duet with her. “Kelly reached out about doing Under The Mistletoe and I’m a huge fan of hers,” Brett said. He also addressed the dating reports: “Yeah, those always come. It’s crazy but it’s just people I love to make music with.”

On her part, Kelly told Angie Martinez that she was open to falling in love but wouldn’t get married again. “I don’t want another dude in my house with my children,” Kelly said. “I really do, truly love being single. I like my bed. I like my routine.”
