Darius Jackson was born on 21st July 1994 in Pennsylvania, United States. He is Panamanian from his mother’s side and African-American from his dad’s side. Jackson’s mother is of Panamanian, Native American, and Jamaican heritage, while his dad has German and African-American roots. 

Sarunas Jackson, Darius’ older brother, told People that the siblings are connected to their many cultures. Jackson said:

“I’m a first-generation American on my mom’s side. I’m working on getting my citizenship in Panama, so I’m very connected to the culture, and so is my baby brother Darius.”

Darius’ Instagram bio has the Panamanian flag, demonstrating his love for the country. He and Sarunas identify as Afro-Panamanian or Afro-Latinidad, a collective cultural identity of Latinos of full or partial African descent. Therefore, the rumors claiming that Darius Jackson is White are false.
